Retroactive Date
The date specified in a claims-made policy before which any alleged wrongful act is excluded from coverage. It functions identically to the prior acts date and establishes the earliest point in time from which the policy provides retrospective coverage. Full prior acts coverage means the retroactive date matches the insured's first date of continuous coverage.
